1. Individual consultation
During a personal introductory meeting, we will discuss your academic situation.
You will receive a free support recommendation and decide whether you would like to try out tutoring at alerno free of charge.
2. Qualified teachers
All tutors at alerno go through a strict selection process in which their tutoring skills are checked according to our quality standards.
3. Motivation through collaborative learning
Even in small group lessons (3-5 people), you will be taught individually by your teacher at alerno, just like in one-on-one lessons. Learning alone is only half as much fun as when you arrange to study with your learning group. This motivates and leads to a greater willingness to learn.
4. Flexible learning and additional help before exams
Are you feeling overwhelmed and want to improve in school as quickly as possible? That’s possible at alerno! For example, you can start with two to three tutoring sessions a week and reduce to one tutoring session a week in the following month. To ensure that your exam is a success, you can come to tutoring extra once a month, e.g. before your exam, free of charge.

Successful learning support helps students to overcome their inhibitions and reliably attend appointments.
Consistent feedback to parents and guardians helps with this.
3. Learning coaching to achieve self-set learning goals
- Self-reflection on one’s own learning situation and the setting of learning goals.
- The recommendations for action result from self-reflection. Their achievement is checked monthly.
- After the successful implementation of the recommendations for action, there is a new self-reflection. This results in newly adapted recommendations for action.
➜ The goal is for students to become aware of their own learning situation and set their own goals. Achieving small goals leads to successful experiences, which in turn have a positive influence on the willingness to learn.
4. Excellent learning support in terms of content
Tutoring at alerno, regardless of whether it is individual or small group lessons, is individually tailored to the needs of the students. In addition to “normal” tutoring in all common school subjects, alerno offers special learning training. These include reading training, spelling training and arithmetic training.
5. Regular survey of satisfaction to optimize learning support
Students always have the opportunity to express praise, suggestions and criticism to alerno. The students are asked to do this several times a year.
